This week has been great for the project. I have been writing up the syllabus for the class and starting to get some of the class requirements in mind. I feel like that has been the real victories this week. I have had some draw backs with emailing professors in the leadership department. Some of them are not getting back to me with some vital feedback so I keep resending emails. I am starting to get frustrated in that aspect.
Overall the project is really coming along. There is some structure of the class starting to appear and the feedback I have been getting has been re-enforcing. My work this week has been overwhelming because I have a RA retreat this weekend and we are not aloud to do homework. I find this to be against the policy of the school with RA's that school comes first and it has been angering. I did, however, get in my hours and am happy with the progress thus far.
My question for this week is: Does anyone know a way I can get professors to better respond to emails when I do not have the time to meet with them?

you could try marking your emails as high importance. Or maybe try going through Dr. Millard to see if he can help you out there since he's the head of the division. Usually I just go by their offices if they don't respond to emails. If you don't have time for a long meeting maybe just swing by and ask them if they got your email. Maybe that would put a little more pressure on them.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Aaron maybe set a time too like please respond to this email by such and such it time it is critical fro such and such a thing
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree with Aaron as well, I always just stop by and peek into their office, rather than make an appointment becasue then its a quick thing and they really cant avoid you. Or maybe even a phone call would do, if you dont have time, just to say hey could you check your email, I sent you a very important document and would really like your feedback asap, or something like that! I agree it is frustrating!
