Kendra April 12-18

This week most of my time was spent working on my final paper. It has actually been kind of cool to re-evaluate our project when we are coming to the end of our part of it, and to see what we have learned and what results we really have to show. I have learned a lot of information even just writing the paper that I never stopped to take the time to think about while working on our project. So its been good to sit down and evaluate the effectiveness of it and how we have really made a change. While sometimes I just think about how long the paper is taking, there have been many times I am writing and it just comes to me that I have learned so much through this experience. My 90 are completed, that makes me feel a little more at ease too, since I was worried just a few weeks ago about getting all my hours. Next week, Tuesday, TJ and I have our last board meeting for this school year! That will be our handing off of the project and board meetings to the Executive Director of [X]change, and I am looking forward to the new ideas that he will bring to the group!

Greatest joy: Being ALMOST done with everything and moving on to graduation!

Greatest challenge: Giving up on our project since I am going to be leaving and not getting to see the progress that they will make with the organization after I am gone.

Leadership lesson: I have definitely learned that sometimes you just have to pass off something that you really care about and have a passion for, and part of leadership is picking the best people to take your place. I think its important to invest in others so that when you leave, there will be someone there to pass the baton on to!

Question: How is everyone’s paper? And how are your presentations coming? (Keep your head up, we are almost done!)
